What Others Are Saying
“I appreciated her holistic approach to treatment, that it not only included the impact of physical exercise on my physical healing; check-ins concerning my mental and emotional health were incorporated as well. I highly recommend Dr. Katie Taylor of Taylor Physical Therapy and Wellness for treatment of diastasis recti and other postpartum-related physical concerns. Thank you!”
Pregnancy is such an exciting time for an expectant mother! It’s a time to celebrate your family growing as you prepare for the birth of your baby. In the past, women have been told it’s just something they have to deal with, but nothing could be further from the truth! Let our experienced therapists help you have the best possible pregnancy, offering relief from back pain, pelvic pain, and swelling in the legs. Safely enjoy exercise in each trimester, stay healthy, and strong.
Delivering your child is one of the most empowering and special events in the life of a mother. It’s a beautiful time that you will always cherish. Some mothers fear birth and the unknown of what delivery day may bring. We want to make delivery as smooth as possible for our patients. We will work with you to find the best labor positions that relax your pelvic floor muscles. We will also teach you perineal massage, which may reduce the risk of tearing during delivery.
Congratulations on the birth of your baby! Adjusting to life with a newborn can be exciting but may bring sleep deprivation and stress. We want to ensure new mothers are physically able to care for their children by being in the best physical shape themselves.
We recommend our patients see us 4-6 weeks after delivery to have a thorough postpartum assessment. We can help with common postpartum issues such as diastasis recti, pelvic pain, back pain, prolapse, and painful intercourse. Mothers want to feel great, be able to chase their little ones, and return to their exercise routines after delivery. Let us help you achieve your goals!
